Beryl Family Gemstones

Introduction — One Family, Many Colours

The Beryl family is one of nature’s most refined gemstone lineages. From the lush green of Emerald to the ocean calm of Aquamarine, from the gentle peach of Morganite to the fire of rare Red Beryl, each member of the Beryl family shares a molecular structure—but carries its own distinct mood, story, and energy.

What is Beryl?

Beryl is a mineral composed of beryllium aluminium cyclosilicate. Trace elements give it its signature colours:
– Chromium or vanadium makes it green (Emerald)
– Iron makes it blue or yellow (Aquamarine, Heliodor)
– Manganese gives it pink or red (Morganite, Bixbite)
– No trace elements = colourless (Goshenite)

It is a 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, making it durable for jewellery.
